I'll be interested to see how you like the G2. I have a love/hate relationship with my Tam 150-600 G1. The last time I used it it froze up three times in one shoot. I also got some great low light shots of owls thanks to the image stabilization. It just isn't as sharp at 600 mm as I would like, but it produces some very sharp results round 500mm and shorter.
Anyway, good luck with the new lens, and with the sale of the old one.
Thanks. The tam is problematic out at 600, especially at distance, but overall I have been okay with it. The g2 is supposed to be better, but the big improvement people have noted is in low light, which is where I find myself most of the time. Here's hoping.
