To further isolate the subject, I lightened it some. I also darkened the background some, and went back to a little more blue to contrast with the warm colors in the statue. Not quite as far as Peter went with the darkening. And, no, Peter I don't mind at all that someone edits one of my photos...

Well, I'm getting better with my backyard bird feeder pics. I still have a long way to go. When the weather cools, I will try setting up in the yard and see if the birds will get used to me being there. I also need to see if I can arrange something other than this ugly plastic feeder as a backdrop.

That was taken at the Boneyard beach nearby. We got lucky and had some cloud cover to give some real color and interest to the sky. I'm looking forward to getting back there this late fall/winter. The gate opens at 6:00 AM, and you have at least a half hour drive/walk from the gate to the beach...
