OK, looking at it more closely, I guess the message count is actually the post count. I guess the only way would be someone joining, but never posting anything.

    Post your Raptors

Here's a few of a red shouldered hawk that lives in my neighborhood. Not the best of backgrounds, but it's where they live. This is one of the residents that isn't happy they live here. I used the new remove tool in PS to get rid of the distracting mailboxes in the foreground of this one.

I suppose that these are the folks that join with a specific question. After getting, or not getting an answer they never visit the forum again. This is a pretty common practice.

Let's be careful out there folks

Well, apparently, my daughter isn't interested in my Z5.

Let's be careful out there folks

Well, actually the point was that it is almost certain that I was never bitten by a snake. There was doubt the first time that it was a snake bite, but seemed to fit the situation. Since I had exactly the same symptoms nearly two weeks later, with little to no chance I was bitten this time, I...

Let's be careful out there folks

Well, it looks like I wasted my money on the snake boots. Yesterday I was mowing the backyard and had the exact same thing happen to me, although not quite as badly. Little to no chance I was bitten by a snake. Also it happened in exactly the same place. I have a doctors appointment Monday to...

Looking for a possible upgrade for daughter's D5600

Unfortunately, that would end up being an effective 36-180 on her DX camera. I have gotten her FX lenses for upgrades for macro and tele, but for a normal zoom, I really think I should stick to a DX to preserve the wide angle end. If she were into wildlife photography, I would get her the D500...

Looking for a possible upgrade for daughter's D5600

"Dad, why won't my lenses fit on the new camera?"

Looking for a possible upgrade for daughter's D5600

Well, I've tried to introduce her to the mirrorless side of the force, but she is currently adamant about no mirrorless camera for her. Like her mother, I know when to put my foot down, and when to walk away. FWIW I usually win the foot down situations, but there is always figurative bloodshed...

    Streets of colour

Well, my Spanish is mucho mejor than my Greek. My first few years in the AF Reserves, I spent enough time in Rota, I thought it might be a good idea to rent an apartment there. Truth be told, I enjoyed my times in England more than any of the other countries I visited in Europe. Problem is, we...

I Was Accused of "Photoshopping" LOL.

I'm not sure I could make money off them. And I have the full resolution files and no watermark on them. Thanks for the compliment, though, assuming it was directed at me.

    Streets of colour

Very nice. Greek Islands? FYI, colour, flavour, and humour all come up with the red wavy line under them on my computer.;)

Looking for a possible upgrade for daughter's D5600

Well, the Pup's birthday is coming around again and I was talking with her about what she wants. I had talked with her about upgrading her D5600, a while back, but she wasn't really interested then. She is more receptive to that now. She doesn't really want to get into mirrorless, and I'm not...

    Ghost

The image you posted appears to only vaguely resemble a face with little detail. In fact, the image first brings to mind Charlie Chaplin for me, although I would attribute that to the phenomena of pareidolia. Perhaps you could post a cropped, higher resolution image to better show what you are...

    Ghost

My guess would be just a coincidental arrangement of tones. Remember the face on Mars? Looked just like a large rock feature carved into the shape of a face. However, when seen with the sun from a different direction, it was obviously just a random shaped rock.

Why didn't I start using this earlier?

User defined modes that is. I started out using aperture preferred, as this is what I was used to with film cameras for a very long time. As I got into wildlife, mostly birds, photography, I switched to manual with auto ISO. This worked better for me in most ways, but the biggest problem was...
