We made our visit to Magee Marsh for the Biggest week in Birding, just three days this year. We had a great time and met some interesting birders. The little guys were extra challenging this year it seemed for photos, here are some shots from this year. Cape May Warblers were everywhere

Stretching a little for me in editing

I like the last edit best myself. I should/could have been more clear that the naturalness of the branch looks just fine to me. When I see images where birds are tucked in, its a more natural composition, but this is my personal taste. I do like the reed removal a lot though. I was trying to...

Stretching a little for me in editing

I love cats ;) I think it draws interest to the subject, for me the vignette effect would be much smaller or maybe less opacity (lighter). With the right mat and framing the effect would make a nice wall hanger (as tonye pointed out) in my opinion. Really drawing the viewer in to the subject...

This brings me to ask do you want to go full frame or stay with APS-C size sensor? Nikon seems concentrated on full frame and you are in...

    Upgrade to a Z

Hello and welcome to the forum! One thing that will help a lot are a few answers to the following 1- Overall budget - (loose idea what you are willing to spend) 2- Anything you want to "carry over" such as extra lens you have, or is this an all new adventure 3- Less important but helpful, are...

Post your favorite April 2026 shot

This was my accidental favorite, in trying to spark interest for a weekly I traveled to this drive in. Being a warm day it was crazy crowded I'm dodging cars in the parking lot with my tripod and this angle looked the best. Knowing and accounting for the highlight/shadow changes in post I made...
