Animals are smarter than you think!!!!! I was at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans taking the first picture below when a man came up to me and ask what kind of camera was I shooting? I replied "Nikon" and he said that he thought Canon was the best. I immediately took the second shot to capture the leopard's response after the man made that statement because even the leopard thought that was hilarious. Jeff

Both of these pictures were taken through a very dirty 1inch thick viewing window.

This is The Hollywood Hotel in Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World. The old name for this was "The Tower of Terror". Jeff

Jeff, I notice that you have both the D7000 and the D90. I was wondering why you rarely use the D7000 for your bird shots? Any specific reason?

Marcel, it has been pretty hot to go out and shoot and even when I do most of all the animals are hidden in the shade somewhere in the woods. I have been posting some of my past pictures and a lot of them were taken with my D90. Right now wildlife is hard to find here on the coast unless you go to one of the bars at night down on the beach and that just ain't my thing. LOL I have to say that I am looking forward to getting the opportunity to post some D7000 images. Jeff

They said on the radio the other day that it was so hot the birds were using oven mitts to pull the worms out of the ground.

I took my two sons and four grand-kids to the Pensacola Naval Air Museum this week and they had a blast. This is a very nice facility and admission is free. They have a very big selection of planes to look at in two different air conditioned buildings and is a great place to visit. Due to the fact there are so many planes, some pictures have a busy background while others have individual planes in them. If you like old planes I have placed a new gallery on my site just for this museum. If you would like to see the gallery just click on the link below and it will take you straight to the gallery of planes. I might add that in just one of the displays there are four Blue Angel jets hanging from the ceiling in flying formation. This is the biggest Naval Museum in the United States and covers approximately 300,000 sq. ft. and has over 150 fully restored planes to see. Jeff

If you ever get the opportunity, go to the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. It is unbelievable.
To give an idea of size there are B1, B52, B58, and lots of smaller planes in one room. There are literally hundreds of aircraft.

Isn't it ashame that sign needs to be there!
The sign really does need to be there because what is actually talking about is where the cement ramp under the water to the left of this pier that is used to launch boats ends. What you are looking at is the birds on the pier next to where the ramp is. Just thought I would clear that up so you didn't think we were really that dumb. :):) Jeff
