Redneck self portrait...when you take a close up snap with a wide angle you don't get a portrait...you get a caricature!
Can anyone tell me what is missing? (the missing exif is 28mm and f/16) Merry Christmas you all!
Very sharp capture, Jeff. Is there glass in those spectacles?
It is possible to pull off a nice group portrait snap with a slow 28 prime and on board flash...or at least so I believe!
Not sure if the flash would cover completely for the 28? But maybe in DX it would but doubt if it would in FX. Don't you have an 18-55 that you could try it with?

Carroll...thanks yes there is glass but you'll notice I am missing the little nose bridge piece or whatever you call them...hahaha Time for a new pair of glasses!
Marcel...that last picture (#330) was made with a 28/3.5 and onboard flash...that is what I was saying not a bad snapshot at all. A lady friend of mine is using the 18-55 right now because her lens is kaput.

I apologize Jeff, for all the "Likes" probably now in your notifications.
I am between remodel jobs, and had time to go through your "...Area 52" project 365, for the year. I clicked on "Like" for every interesting post and photos, and there is now a worn spot on my mouse button that was not there before I started. LOL I just did not keep up with your Area 52 daily, and was the poorer for it, so I went back, got caught up, and now am richer because of it.
I am sure I speak for many in the forum, and more than a few "lurkers", that your love of Photography really comes through in your posts! You gave a very interesting history of film cameras, lens, and probably inadvertantly, yourself this past almost year.
I would like to encourage you to continue it in the coming year. The project 365 threads are a real gem, and I enjoy all of them, as most do. Yours, for some reason I cannot put my finger on, is extra good. Keep it coming...
