Why are the trees messed up in the quad pic?

I just realized we don't have Herons in Oklahoma I think...we only have blue cranes dang it... LOL

The two birds fighting over the dandelion is the craziest thing I have ever seen! Talk about a photo that captures unique expression...that one is good...

I have been trying for a nice close pic of this local Heron for a couple of weeks now, he is quite shy! lol

It must be a natural trait in them. They're shy here as well. At the wildlife refuge, they take off if you get out of the car.

The trees are all messed up because years ago a fire ripped through this area, and it is slow to come back in areas. I really thought the two little birds were too cute! I would love to see your cranes!

Thanks Helene! I have started to walk up to the lake, or park a ways away, lol, and try and sneak up on them!

Went to see the osprey's nest today, I got a few nice shots, this is my favourite.

I went to the local skate park, I wish I could have got a better backdrop for these, but there were just too many kids, and I didn't want to get in their way. They were a talented bunch.
