State refund came and almost disappeared ...
Just ordered an Induro CLT203 plus PHQ1 5 way pan head.

Old tripod had the pan head and was going to switch to a ball , ended with this.

So many things that I need. Want to get a Black Rapid Sports strap . One of these days I'm going to drop my new lens and I'll be real upset with myself.

I am using the slide from peak design with the strap connected in the traditional locations and holding onto the tripod foot inverting the whole thing.. The slide lets me adjust the length of the strap so my arm does not cramp ;) and it is a simple rotation to get it up on the monopod with a quick release or find something to support it. The slide is like a race car safety harness material, and they offered it in a size that fit.

Nice - I like the Black Nikon branded BR strap.

I like it very much. Way more comfortable than the standard neck strap I used so far.
But even better is the lens. Using this lens and the 70-200 I can't imagine ever putting a kit lens on the D7100 again.
Only one to go for the completion of the holy trinity.

Though I badly wanted to buy a high dollar tripod, or lens, I had to try to think more practically! A lot of my buddies here put out a lot feeling in their efforts to talk me into not just blowing my tax money, and to pay a bill down with it instead. So I did things in a more practical way, but not only to help pay down a bill, but maybe to even help me make a few dollars now and then!:)
So I got my payments on that bill lowered $50 a month, by paying $700 on the bill and got some great help on lowering it from the lady at badcock and more!:)

Then I pushed myself into going a couple directions. First was to buy the holder and filters to go on my 14-24mm wide angle lens, to maybe sell some landscapes if I can!
Second was a bigger buy in amounts, buying all the things needed to setup a working studio with speedlights(so lighting can be moved to different backgrounds) in my efforts to possibly take and sell portraits!
Lastly I did allow myself one lens, and bought a new USA version nikkor af-s 50mm f1.4 g lens which I figured might be of help with some portraits in some locations with less room!

So I bought
1 filter holder
2 filters
4 umbrella stands for speedlights
1 set of backdrops and stands
4 Yongnuo flash triggers
2 nikon sb-800 flashes to go with what I already have
8 eneloope pro AAA batteries
8 eneloope pro AA batteries
1 Nikkor af-s 50mm f1.4 g lens

I think that is all of it, though I could have forgotten something!lol :D

A Big thank you to all my friends who helped me rethink my spending piority concerning my tax return money! God bless you all!
Though I didn't follow the advice exactly, I did turn my thoughts to a much more practical solution than I had before!

Anyway you all are the best!:D

Bill I hope you can earn some money while doing the hobby you enjoy. New stuff is great, but keep an eye for used equipment. There real bargains out there. Since I have retired & my income has become fixed used equipment is the only way I buy things. I've saved a bundle this way although I have trimmed down my photo kit from what it once was.

All the best.
