I like used too, and all of my flashes are used!lol It was the only way to afford my nikon preference!lol ;)

The 50mm lens wasn't much more for it new with a 5 years warranty, and so that was why I bought it new!lol :D

Thanks buddy, I'll take the advice about used gear to heart my friend!:D

Bill I hope you can earn some money while doing the hobby you enjoy. New stuff is great, but keep an eye for used equipment. There real bargains out there. Since I have retired & my income has become fixed used equipment is the only way I buy things. I've saved a bundle this way although I have trimmed down my photo kit from what it once was.

All the best.

Since the first set of triggers didn't seem to be what I was really looking for, I bought the YONGNUO YN-622N-TX i-TTL Wireless Flash Controller +3 YN-622 trigger for Nikon. I think it will work better for me. Thankfully I was able to use my ebay bucks to pay for most of the cost!:)

I have a set of these, they work flawlessly and are very easy to learn to use!

Just got a new camera bag, lowepro flipside 400aw, needed a bag to fit the tamron 150-600mm and camera body+a few extras, and also to carry the tripod.

I bought a small bag to take my camera to church with me. I take a lot of photos for church and I use the same Tamron 28-75 f2.8 and I do not like to simply carry my camera on the strap, but my Regular back pack is just to much. I found a case logic Luminosity DSH103 specifically "Gripped Prosumer" cameras (their words). It fits the D7200 very well and the lens has plenty of room.

Nice looking bag! My primary carry case is also a Case Logic. After several cruises, international travel, and regional travel via car and puddle jumpers, the bag is holding up well!

Well I now got most everything needed for my photo studio! But it is driving me nuts not being able to set it all up and try it out. I can't do that until I get moved into an appartment. It is all packed up and I need to leave it that way so it will be easy to move when I find a new home.

But I sure want to try it all out real bad! Lol :D

Oh I almost forgot to mention, I got my nikkor af-s 50mm f1.4 g! Needless to say I unpacked that!lol ;)
But I haven't tried it out yet. I went to the doctor today and that always seems put a big dent in the day, or at least it feels that way to me. But soon I'll get some test shots of something!lol ;)

Since it cost me $50, I think this qualifies as a purchase.

I signed up for a Saturday afternoon "Intermediate Digital Photography" class at a Seattle camera store.
Should be interesting.

Definitely counts! Investing in yourself will get you better images than any gear purchase, in my opinion!

Please be sure to let us know some of the discussion topics. My local camera store only offers a beginners class which consists of mounting the lens, the relationship between aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and few other very elementary things. It will be interesting to hear what they cover! :)

I'm interested myself. How much info can they cram into two hours?
In the last six months I've acquired so much new gear they should cover some info I can use.
