Ok, so it's been a while. Am I safe to download this on my PC now? :indecisiveness:
I was thinking the same![]()
I dont mind adding something else to the 90% of CC i dont usei dont need it to work only need it not to screw the rest up.
That creative cloud almost bricks my laptop, it comes with a lot of excess baggage. Had to uninstal Lr and Ps whats the alternative for casual hobbist photographer? Already use Picassa but it a little light on features.
I'd tell you to look into Paintshop Pro 8 by Corel or maybe ACDSee Pro 9. I don't like either as much as I like Photoshop but you go with what works! That creative cloud almost bricks my laptop, it comes with a lot of excess baggage. I'm sure someone will suggest GIMP because it's free so I'll go ahead and include it.
Yep, I will suggest GIMP. Ha! Also Capture NX-d from Nikon. And then if you really want to delve into the world of play, there is RawTherapee, also free.
I did mess with Gimp for a while. It is pretty neat software. But when I made the leap to the cloud I stopped using it. PS and Gimp both are tough for me to learn. LR was not bad but I am working with PS now some, but it literally gives me a headache after a while... so did gimp. requires toooo much focus![]()
I started on Photoshop and was pretty good with it. Took some time to get used to Lightroom but once I did I really like it. I get the vast majority of the work done in LR and only go to PS when I have work to do that can not be done in LR like cloning or the Spot Healing Brush. Those are actually pretty easy to learn and use and can really make a big difference in a photo when you have a garbage can in the shot you need to remove or power lines just ruining your landscape shot.
