Creativity does not work on a timetable or even appear on demand. It is certainly something that does not happen every day. So some days you just do mundane chores; keeping your hand in and when the inspiration comes you will be ready to embrace it. Constantly hone your technical skills but do not expect to create a masterpiece every day. But when you have mastered your craft then great results will follow. Remember what John Ruskin wrote; "the life so short, the art so long to learn"

Wow, I never thought of creativity with such flair before. The writing and thought are priceless.

Day 218 - OW!

Here's the view of the wall behind my head early this morning. I was laying down and groaning out something like "MOTHER OF MERCY!"

Early a.m. trip to the ER. Seems I had a kidney stone that was taking its own sweet time to get to my bladder. They said, "yup, small but painful." I said, "I just gave birth to an F650 flatbed truck!"

Didn't feel like getting out to shoot much more today.

I'm thankful I haven't a clue about either and hope I never find a clue about either.

I think I found the problem, Pretz .... were you hanging anything from your flow meter? :D

Hope you're feeling better soon!

for me the ride to the hospital is the worse part. Once there (5x) after paper work and a shot i am good to go. :)

LOL, yeah. Imagine the look on my wife's face as a 6'4" bald man is fully stretched out in the passenger seat, head up against the ceiling and trying to shove his right foot through the floor... all the while berating her for doing the speed limit while I die. Ends up she was doing a whopping 40 in a 35 zone, but still... YEESH! Can't ya work up a good 50??? I mean, 4 a.m., no traffic, and all ya have to do is tell the officer I'm giving birth to a 4 ton piece of heavy machinery.

Been There...Done That....I feel your PAIN! Even the nurse told me giving birth was easier. But I did enjoy the drugs while they lasted. :p

Sounds like when I pulled my back out years ago. I could barely breath and every little bump hurt like hell. Wife was trying to be careful as she drove. I would scream every time the car bounced. When they prescribed my muscle relaxers and codeine I was good to go.

Day 219 - Lifegroup Outing

Yes, day 219. I posted day 217 twice (in my pain), so went back and edited in the correct number for the "flow valves" shot. ;) ANYWAY, the next night was our photography group's scheduled shoot, so I joined them for about half of it. Here are a few of my fave pics from the outing.

1st, a shot of the amazing field we had the opportunity to shoot in!

This was actually un-posed. Our model was assessing the "ickiness factor" of the spot where we asked her to stand, and I thought it was GREAT! If you didn't know, you'd swear it was the look we were after.

Our two models showing a little sibling love.

Love this one too!

I actually captured so many more lovely shots, but the rest are reserved for the kids and their mom. ;)
