In a creative slump

Well, don't complain for the weather if you are going in central Europe. If you want sunny days, warm weather and suntanned girls, come way more south... :p

Just kidding! :D;)
Have a nice and safe trip.
(and post many photos from it to share the experience with the rest of us...)

Thanks, and don't worry, there will be many photos. But I'm not taking a computer with me so I'll process and post after I return. In the meantime, you can have a look at my Mallorca album in my gallery. All these were taken last year with the D90 and the 18-200 VRII.

I kind of guessed your question was for me. No, I'll just be in Hungary for 10 days and Vienna for 3 days.

I did some work last year in Vienna. Two suggestions for you if it is not too presumptuous. You are only an hour away from Bratislava via train or boat. It is a nice day trip. Second, PLEASE go to the Gösser Bierklinik and have a Gösser Stiftsbräu Dark and goulash! It is the oldest restaurant in Vienna. I actually found a distributor where I can get that beer somewhat locally.

As Mistress Helene has covered most of the salient points in her post/command! LOL ;)
I would ask what got you interested in photography in the first place, what made you think, WOW, maybe I can take a picture after all? I have headed out with my camera to shoot whatever is around the next corner and found that can blow the cobwebs away, but so can returning to the scene of the crime and going back to whatever started you in the first place. For me it is gig photography, although I have done press work, landscapes, wildlife, proms and a host of other things a bit of live music, head in the PA system stage front trying to catch that moment of performance that sums up the band, gig or atmosphere always gets my blood pumping. Good luck, and I hope you break the slump soon. I feel that I might actually be trying to teach my grandma to suck eggs here as you are way above my level as a photographer, both in quality and experience, but I hope it helps. :)

Take a short break and recharge yourself. That is what I do most times. You will miss what you have doing day in day out once you stayed away for a while.
