"Summer Storm"

Just not very good at getting lightning shots. I'm too much of a coward to be standing too close to a storm.

Playing around with night sky shots. This was a 4 minute exposure. I couldn't stand any longer because of the mosquitoes!

Thanks. Rick and Marcel.

Rick, yep, it was late afternoon and not many bolts clearing the clouds. Lots of bolts going crossways. When I would point the camera in one direction, the bolts were in another place. It apparently takes a lot of patience. My hat off to you for all of your spectacular lightning shots!

awesome shots, Helene! The lightning shot is very neat, the clouds looks really cool.
I like the movement in the stars in the night time shot, too. :)

Those were STARS????? I thought that was a swarm of mosquitoes.
Congrats on the lightning Helene... I don't have the nerve to try shots like that. I like the way you can see the rain moving in from the left.

I love the colors in your horses' playground, nice job. The city lights shot is cool, I think its neat that some parts of the country are so flat that you can just stand on a hill and see all of that.

Old Garden Rose . . . a surprise tucked in among the brambles. Thought I'd get my macro out, since I've been neglecting him lately.

Oh my goodness. You've been neglecting HIM? Does HE have a name?

It's starting to sound like we all should start genderizing and naming our lenses. I think I'll call my Macro lens Bertha.
