she probably IS a skateboard teacher, lol.
That's cute, Jen! Made me laugh.

Marcel, I crossed that off my list. I fall down enough tripping on the rocks around here, I definitely don't need to have wheels on my feet! Too damn hard to get up off the ground LOL

Trying out a new lens: 35mm DX f/1.8 This lens runs about $200 new and I wanted to see if it is worth getting.
I really like the depth of field and lack of noise on this shot. The focus is quiet and pretty accurate. Very little PP on this shot.

Nice model for your daily shot Helene. That 35 is a bargain and does the job quite well. It's not 1.4, it's not 24mm, but it's "mucho" cheaper to get without robbing a bank. ;)

That lens is one of the items on my (NAS) consideration list. Unfortunately, family doggie has requisitioned *ALL* my excess funds. She's going to be getting a new knee the end of the month.

Helene I have this lens I really love it. I don't use it that much but when I do it's been very good to me. I guess I'm a big zoom lens guy and need to use it more often. Big going on's here in town this weekend lots of pictures to take I'm planning on taking it out Friday night to a carnival in town for a little night photography on and off the tripod, can't wait.

Thanks for the nice comments, Jack and Rick! Much appreciated!

Sure is funny how your front yard and back yard look almost the same

Rick, this shot is literally from my front yard. I'm in a mountainous area and have almost a 360 view of the mountains since I live on a hill. When I leave my hill and drive to another location that is still in the region, I refer to it as my "backyard" in quotes, meaning to not take it literally as backyard. That's why many of my posts refer to the : the backroads of my "backyard" --
