That stinks.. same feeling I get when we are suppose to see the aurora here and get clouds!
Excellent work.
It seems you will get another chance latter on this year.Just got a shiney new D3200 and found this forum, first post actually.
Seems the, well everything, was against my getting a photo of this moon, first didnt know about it, but lucked into being awake and hearing about it on the news, then went outside to discover rain and clouds, but have a overhang on the front of the house i could take the picture from without getting rained on, so went to get the camera, then discovered that my battery was to low when i went to try to take it, and all of this happened on the same day that ups brought my 2nd battery.
one day later, and well less clouds and i might have gotten a photo
I was all ready with clear skies all day and early evening clear but heavy cloud came over almost as soon as moon rose so missed the moon and a level 8 AuroraI went to bed grumpy because it never did clear
Best shot I've seen of the event so farGreat shot!!
I have a pretty strong suspicion this is more than just one shot
Yes, it looks awesome, no doubt. And it's a great idea, too. I saw another composite shot with the full blood moon in the center and all around the moon were small moons in all the phases, both moving into and out of the eclipse. I'm guessing most people just captured the first half and went to bed for the exit half. I know I did...You could be right. Pretty good thoMaybe ssnidey will come back and tell us
