Because we're more than halfway through the eclipse. Everything will now be a mirror image of what you're seen so far.

This was much tougher than I thought. Had to make changes on the fly as one moment the moon is too bright and the next it's too dark. Here is my best from the night. And now to send me off to bed.

Congrats to all who got shots! It was full cloud cover by the time it started... never got to see it, let alone photo it!

I probably picked the very worst event to do my first ever moon shot.
Arrived at the beach in daylight, thick band of cloud across the horizon. OK I thought, maybe the sunset will be OK with the clouds if nothing else. Nope!! Very mediocre. Waited for the moon to rise ABOVE the cloud band and it was red already, so missed half the eclipse event.
It was windy and quite cool and the sandflies tried hard to eat us alive.
The dog had a good time making lots of new friends

Anyway......best I could get. Not perfect. Not very big thru my 18-270mm lens. Had to crop it out.

yep gave up at 1 am when I could'nt even see thru the clouds enough to get a focus lock on the moon .

I was all ready with clear skies all day and early evening clear but heavy cloud came over almost as soon as moon rose so missed the moon and a level 8 Aurora I went to bed grumpy because it never did clear
