Day 331, 2013 - Ring

A day of playing and experimentation. The ring is a now well worn ring we gave my daughter a long while ago. The book is her Bible we had embossed for her. And the picture... experimentation. I'm undecided if I like it, if I would change it, and if I did change it how I might do it differently. Either way, this was something different to try my hand at.

I think, the more I look at it, it has to do with the ring just not having that shiny untouched metal reflection and the reflection of a stone freshly placed and spotlessly clean.

Day 332, 2013 - Experimental Plane

Went up on the roof to shoot a plane taking off when I caught this experimental plane flying past. Snapped a quick shot before the opportunity was gone. If it weren't for RAW this image would not have been salvageable.

Like America, I'm guessing Captain America has fallen on hard times from the state of his vehicle. How much of a die hard do you have to be to paint all four wheels.

Day 338, 2013 Fall Grapes with the Tamron AF 90mm f/2.8 Di SP AF/MF 1:1 Macro

My Christmas present arrived today - 90mm Tamron Macro. However, I am not allowed to have it yet. The wife did let me shoot a couple shots with it to make sure it works. My five minute impression... light weight, focused well, seems well made but does not feel as solid as my Nikon and Tokina lens(es).

We have an incredible light display downtown, and this is not it. However, I wanted to get some practice in so I shot the neighbors lights.

This picture is from the upper level of the old train station. It is supposed to be haunted by the numerous people that have died here.
