Here is mine from yesterday. I did call it "Busy Bokeh" since this is where you can see the difference between a prime and a so so lens.

Wow, Jack, that's quite a capture. He almost looks like a wooden statue. Nice. Looks like spring is finally in your neck of the woods.

Looks like a red-shouldered blackbird. We have lots of them around our parts, and they aren't very scared of humans. I can get within 25-30 ft., then let my 70-200mm do the rest.

Jack it's really called a Red Wing Blackbird. Essence is right, they are called different things depending where you're from.

We start to see them in early spring around here in the Midwest, would make sense that you would see them now around you seeing your just a little north of us (LOL)

Looking at the map looks like "He's" up your way for breeding.

awww thanks, Helene. That's nice to hear coming from you. :) And YESSSSSSS!! Spring has finally sprung! :) This was taken at the motorcycle track where I work part time during the summer. I do this to fund my NAS. :) I used my new 55-300 VR lens on this shot, aperture mode, auto everything else. :)

ahh, ok, thanks, Rick. I wasn't sure what exactly he was, but I figured he must be from the blackbird family. They sure like to squawk a lot! lol A little north of you, eh? lol Well, I'm about 300 miles north of the Montana border. :) Oh, and thanks a lot for the website. Very interesting. It's gonna come in handy, too. Lots of birds in my backyard all the time. :)
