The funny thing is my daughter came running in to tell me I was missing a spectacular moon as I started to laugh. She then looked over my shoulder to see I was posting the moon from tonight.
The look on her face must have been priceless! Lol
What an opportune capture! Hope the wildfires don't get too close...

The Goblins are very interesting as they really color shift as the light changes. At times they are brown, a pastel pink brown, and sometimes very reddish.

Wow! The difficulty in getting this shot. Normally, the clouds are clear and the night air perfect. However, the Goblin Gods were against me and I fought over two nights to get this one shot. In spite of all the challenges, I got the shot and here it is.

No. She was just another visitor. I was shooting when I heard the, "do you think I can make it?" Hearing that I knew I would either get a cool shot of her jumping or a human being testing the theory of gravity. Fortunately, she made it as that is quite a fall.

Well, you caught it a the exact right time
Day 226, 2013 - Goblin Valley Scorpion
This one was shot somewhere around one in the morning. I was, as mentioned earlier, battling with the Goblin Gods to give me clear skies to shoot the Milky Way and they denied me. To save the night I went in search of the creepy crawlies of the desert night. I found PLENTY, most of it deadly. My favorite was this scorpion. Its actual size was 1.5 inches/3.81 cm long so using the 40mm macro lens I cuddled up super close and convinced him to say "cheese."
