Same here. We don't get anything even close to those spectacular bugs. We just have the regular moths, dragonflies, spiders, flies and assorted bees and beetles. We don't have a whole lot of those colorful iridescent bugs.

Me thinks that's the same we have here too.. but when you get up close & personal they show a different world altogether :)
Most of the insects i've shot are just like 3 steps around my house.. (don't tell Don, he's threatening me with an exterminator :p)
am yet to get 'out' into the woods or something like that ;)

It has been very enjoyable too..
Haven't been able to go out much, so making use of the small subjects around ;)

Though i think it's time for a outdoor landscape shoot..
(PS: HOLIDAY!!!!)

Spotted this bug who seems to have gotten out of some war.. broken wings & he seems to be tired... tongue hanging
terrible lighting!
