Well yes, maybe not f/16, but I thought it would maybe look good with the lights, so those would be more sharp instead of soft. Just an idea.

At 10 miles it is about as sharp as it is going to get. Heat rise and haze will kill it. Also these are cropped. Also the longer shutter speed would not have helped.

Ahhh yes, forgot about the long distance, think you are right that this wont help.

A few from my morning walk at the Zoo. I have a yearly pass now and it is a very nice place to walk and get some exercise. Added benefit of things to take pictures of.

Can't forget the tigers. Had to shoot these through the wire so close up only to make the wire disappear .

Roll Tide Roll. I am from Tuscaloosa and worked for the University of Alabama as a engineer for 10 years and met and married both of my wives while they were students there. And my son is in school there now.

But I do like tigers as long as they are not form Auburn.

This is a Alligator Snapping Turtle. it has a head the size of a football.

During the early 1800s, this land was occupied by small farms where early settlers struggled to feed their families. Conservation techniques were unknown to most of these individuals and the furrows left by plows soon grew into gullies. As wind and rain deepened them, the gullies became ravines and in just a few decades the ravines became canyons. The naturally soft soil of the area contributed to the growth of the canyons, called "caves" by early residents, until finally the dramatic vistas seen today became permanent parts of the landscape.
