Been busy today. My son came down for the weekend and helped me finish cutting down the Bradford Pear tree that split down the middle recently during a storm. But on a happier note my 18-105mm came in today so this is all I felt like shooting so far.

Went out after supper and shot a few with the 18-105. It was late and cloudy so not the best test of the new lens.

And one HDR just for good measure.

Hate it when you have to take down a tree, but if you know any woodturners or wood carvers, they might like the cut wood.

It is great. Only been out in less than optimum conditions and it handled it great.

A few from today at THE University of Alabama

The Building where I had my first big boy job. I was an Engineer for the University of Alabama TV. We were a production center for Public TV

This is Denny Chimes and one of the blocks in the sidewalk beside it.

And my wife standing in front of the building she was always in the year before we got married and the first year we were married. The university library
