Marcel's Daily pics 2013

Thanks Don. I also have been ripping my basement floors, the one I had just recovered. Contractors coming in next week to install bathroom and move my laundry room to the basement... All my NAS money is melting in the house. :)

I know how that is. I had a bid on an addition to our house that was very good only to find out the contractor did not have a license. Two new bids are $10,000 higher. Puts a crimp in other plans.

June 28th, still working in the basement tearing down… but the weather is with me on this one. This is what's expected for the next 3-4 days:

Here's the reason why I haven't been shooting much:

When I thought I was done but did not know there was some water left under the subfloor:

Look what it looks like today with the subfloor gone:

So in a way I can say the D7100 or 800 will go down the drains. I could buy a few cameras with the money I'll put for drainage.

Wow, that's painful! Stinks to put that much money into a home "improvement" that is unseen! Are you putting a studio in that spot?

Oh wow.. that must be so disappointing... Its like starting over with the extra expense of the drainage..

Hey, I will be up your way on the 12th.. Have a Ceremony to Honor the Canadian Veterans who died during Vietnam. Wife and I have been riding up for this event (Cross Border Run) for years. We are staying in St Constant and the Vigil is at the Monument in Melocheville.

If you are curious, here is the web site for the Canadian Vietnam Veterans of Quebec. Association Québécoise des Vétérans du Vietnam - Accueil
I am honored each year to be invited to read a block of names at the Vigil. These Canadians fought under the American Flag as Canada was not involved in the conflict, they crossed the border to stand beside me and others in the US Armed Forces. This is why I make the trip each year, to honor their sacrifice for Freedom for all.

(PLEASE - do Not turn this into a political thing.. PLEASE, no negative comments on the aspects of war.. no matter your beliefs, you should be able to at least understand honoring those that served and made the Ultimate Sacrifice. That is what I am doing in Quebec on July 12th, 2013)

Sorry for Hi-Jack Marcel... just wanted you to know That I will be in the area and why....

Well Pat, if you're going to be driving by Sherbrooke, please let me know and stop by for a coffee and a live visit.

These little flowers are just about done. They started falling off this morning and if the wind picks up a bit, I won't have any left within the next few days.

The flowers are beautiful and the capture is excellent - shame to see them go... I will not be too far from Shebrooke but we have to be up there by Friday afternoon and I am leading a small group of bikes... So, will not be able to visit this trip, sorry. It would have been nice!

July 8th, not the best pictures, but they will explain why I don't have any money left for my NAS. I'm pouring it down the drains:
