Excellent shot Jeff, just love those Osprey's & Blue Heron's
Maybe someday I'll be able to get a few shots of the Osprey around Bethpage, I see him some times now hunting in & around the golf course. I have a lot to learn about shooting these birds. I was out at Oak Beach a couple of times & could swear I saw a Heron hunting (actually diving) in the waters off the beach, but am not sure just what bird it was too far away & didn't have the zoom to check it out.

Marilynne, there was no one around to ask but plenty of work needs to be done, like at the Gilgo Beach Inn they are expecting to be back by the end of April,Cedar beach didn't look to be too bad though there was no work going on there but I didn't notice much damage,Oak needs to be have the whole beach restored if you ask me. The beach hut seemed to be ok though if I can post some pictures I'l do it but I always have problems with software & posting where they don't belong.

If some one can explain how I get to post some pictures I will I can't even find the new threads where did they put them & where is the breakdown for the different types of photos, awhile back I posted 3 pics of seagulls at Oak beach & Captree can't find them anywhere.I am lost & can't find my way!!!!

Go to Forum in the menu and click on a thread where you want to post. You'll see +Post New Thread in yellow box. Good luck.

BTW, the OBI was demolished in 2003. I looked it up.

This pair of Osprey were sitting here near their nest when another Osprey came flying up and they let him know in no uncertain terms that he was not welcome and to stay away. Shot with D7000 70-200VR and 2x teleconverter.

So what do I do but come along and show you what it's doing outside at this very moment on this fine spring day here in Calgary! LOL Gawd....what did I do to deserve this kind of weather! lol :)

I moved to the Gulf Coast in 1961 and I think it has snowed here two or three times in all those years. We had a terrific snow storm not long after I moved here and we had some snow drifts as high as five or six inches and it shut down everything!

LOL!! You wouldn't believe how hard I was laughing after I read this part! lol When we talk of snow drifts up here, we're talkin' feet, not inches! lol :) Oh man, I needed that laugh. Too funny. :) Thanks, Jeff. :)

Pelican checking me out from an outing yesterday. Nikon D7000 and 70-200VR lens with 2x teleconverter shot handheld. I was driving through the parking lot of the marina when I spotted this pelican and shot it out of my car window.
