Wonderful shot, Laura.

Whenever I see old homes like these, I think of the hopes and dreams of the original owners and family. How they must have been proud of their new home, the plans they had for the future, the work that went into the planning, building, moving in, etc. Perhaps memories of those that lived there still remain with family members and friends today. To the casual observer, it is just a run down house and outbuilding(s)...to others it represents life, laughter, love, and yes, sorrow. Much more than just an old house.

With my NEW 35mm. Fun with black light. This is a little ceramic log house with a tea lite in it. It was part of a funeral arrangement for my MIL several years ago. I took 40 pics using different flashlights, headlamps and a black light.
