    stmv,

All of the images BEFORE this post were done with my Nikon Nikkor 300mm f4 lens and my Nikon TC EII 1.4 teleconverter on my D800. Most if not all are hand held.

The images below were shot with my Nikon 400mm f3.5 lens on the D800, but on a tripod.

ah,, I have the 300 F4,, but not the TC III 1.4,, I tried some old TC and they work fine, but of course it becomes a manual lens then. I have th TC 1.4 on my list, but it will be a while.

My advice, get the Nikon TC. The 1.4 is amazing glass. You can not tell the difference when you put it on and it turns your lens in to a 420mm f5.6. One sunny days, the lens sings. You will definitely not be disappointed.

This below is a Common Redpoll, again, taken with the Nikon 400mm.

Photowyzard, I think you have some exceptional pictures in this thread!!!
Remember, before you post a picture, "You are known by what you show, not by what you throw".

I decided many years ago I was going to have either
a really good day or sometimes slip to just a good day. I refuse to have bad ones!!!
