Ive been looking at this subject myself recently, what it seems Ive learned.. is that western tends to have more red color than the semi, may not always have chevrons along the flanks , overlaps bill lengths with semis half the time , and , in general , basically just like to mess with your head. I'd lean towards western on it , since it doesnt look tiny-headed and the bill is longish.Week 36, a western or Semipalmated Sandpiper (need confirmation) cant decide.
