Re: Thank You, Everyone...

Funny, It is always a temptation to crop to the subject to get all the goodness BUT you almost always need to Frame you subject with a little negative space. You did leave nose room in both versions so you do get points for that.
Well in all honesty I have to agree with the consensus... The uncropped version does look better.

It was the weeds in the foreground that got me to crop in the beginning. It was just a tiny crop... But then just a little more and... A little more. Next thing I knew I mainlining the stuff. I found myself cropping photo's from three years ago. I cropped other peoples pictures, "just for fun", I told myself. Then I cropped my hair and I knew... I knew in that moment I needed to get a grip... To get some REAL help. I'm on the wagon now... No more cropping. More negative space! YEA NEGATIVE SPACE!!!

I liked the vividness on the cropped one though. If we can bump colors, clarity and other aspects and still have next to lossless quality in doing so via RAW unlike jpg, I don't see a reason not to unless its a specific, artistic shot of sorts.

Its a night shot done couple of months back. Here you can see most of the monuments from Bhaktapur Durbar Square which are built centuries before. Any Suggestion are most welcomed.

6 month after getting my D5100 last year I got the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G. Fortunately there was a beautiful celebration here and these were my first test shoots at night with the prime lens. All pictures ooc and resized in LR 3.6 only.
