Great photo as usual from you Marilynne. Nice white and black detail too.
I love seeing different birds, as they are the perfect example of evolution with their bills just right for the food they eat.
The ankles always make me smile too, I wonder why they evolved to be there where we would expect to see knees.

Thanks John. Went looking for them this morning and they weren't there. The chicks disappeared after a rain storm a couple of days ago. It was nice watching them grow.
