Yesterday was an important day

Yesterday was an important day for my daughter. She was chosen among 3000 Students to perform a mothers day dance.

I took 318 photos, two you've seen already (flowers at the thread http://nikonites.com/learning-photography/621-post-your-flower-pics.html#axzz2ZvCJjP00)

For you maybe it is a normal day shooting but for me not. I shot the first time only RAW for an important event which will never come back again. No RAW + Fine.

I start to trust my skill developing photos.

For this photo I used Capture NX2 cos on my Office Computer I've got only LR3.6. At my other Computer I have LR4.4. I think that Capture NX2 is much better than LR3.6 cos of its Highlight and Shadow adjuster.


I need more training. But know I saw what I can do with RAW

Congrats... and congrats on her going to the largest school, ever. haha. That school is HUGE! Looks like a hotel. A nice one at that. lol.

That is not that big as other schools here in Thailand. Just behind my house is a school there 4000 Students from primary 1 to primary 6.

I don't have any doubt on RAW now

Before - In this way I captured it. I wanted test how RAW works. RAW resized and saved as jpeg using Capture NX2.

I think if it comes out from cam as jpeg nothing can be done well.

After - More training and I can do well. I am sure.

I just used Capture NX2 without special training or knowledge

ah Michael, you are just doing this to show me how much I really need to get a PP program and start shooting in raw, i have deleted shots like these, now you have showed me what I have lost, good job btw.

Look how the clouds can be shown well if you shooting RAW. I just started to process RAW- It's just a Test to show you what is possible. This was tested with LR4.
