Day 205, july 25

Testing testing testing, for something which could be fun to do with different people. Cannot decide if it should be color or bw.

Mai, I often prefer the B&W but with the suble coloring you have, I think I prefer it better...

A new thing to play with, if you don't already know it, the Brenizer Method. Its a huge panorama image, but with fixed focus, to make the subject really pop out - when mastering it, it looks so good! From the man himself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsMnRxmeJ74

I think this image are pretty good when seen on my computer in big, but somehow it looses a lot of quality when down-sizing. Never the less, its around around 30-40 images, shot with 50mm on f/2 as I remember:

And this is funny. Its kind of to much? But something I like about it.

Yes the baby had to get some fur cut of as he was feeling very bad in the summer heat.

Mai, I'm just getting caught up on your latest work. I gotta say, you are truly inspiring. Your photos are beautiful in composition and I just love your processing. I am really, really impressed.

Thank you so much, wreckdiver. I feel I have so much to learn still! But guess the only way, is by doing it :)

Some different images to come, next post are from a wedding.

Pregnant/couple (with dog) shooting. Took a while before they loosened up, these are from the last part of the session. It started raining a lot after an hour, but then I made the umbrella shot :)

Re: Wud's project 365

A wedding.

Drive from home saturday at 7 o'clock. 2 hours drive to the ferry. Wait in line for a big cup of coffee. Drop friend of in a city and drive 2-2,5 hours to the location.
Walk dog and change clothes. Shoot wedding for about 4 hours.
Buy some food and drive 30 min out in the middle of nowhere for a friends summerhouse I borrowed (thats why I brought a dog lol). Dog walk and sleep!
Up at 7, walk the dog and drink coffee. Drive 1,5 hour to new location. Walk dog again and do a dog shooting for 1,5 hour. Drive a couple of hours to pick up friend and go to the ferry. Sit for an hour and stare out in the air because I had to much coffee to sleep lol. Drive 2 hours and be home! Sleep and up at 6 next morning... I was SO tired on that monday.

I charged $250 for the transportation, and $170 pr hour of shooting. I really feel that is asking a LOT of money but on the other hand, the amount of time used, also including editing afterwards. I am beginning to understand the prices I see at other wedding photographers (I do not at all feel pro enough to charge those amounts).

A few images from the day :)

This lighthouse is a big symbol of the town, so they wanted a picture in front of it. You don't know how close I was to being THAT photographer, who had a dog .... doing its business ...... in the image LOL! Not my dog of course, one who passed by. I was laughing so much when I realized :applause:

Re: Wud's project 365

Its been raining for a week, all of our lawn are flooded, so are the neighbours and the city in general. I wanna go shooting in sunlight!
Or get some inspiration for outdoor (dog) shooting, despite the weather..
