Re: Wud's project 365

which image Mai, sounds interesting but read the fine print several times. You might post details of this in a separate thread and see what others think.

congrats, that's really cool they reached out to you.

Well, I get the deal - they earn money on my image (if it sells, of course). But they can get the image out to so many more than I'll ever be able to/wanna get in to..

Its the free falling image, black and white, me who look like I am falling from a roof. I don't feel specifically "attached" to that image, so I'm just fine with others using it. As long as I can still use it myself, for selling or displaying.

Don't wanna be the one who starts the discussion about licensing, honestly I don't know enough about it/how it normally goes, and also I know, several would never do this - which I completely understand, but for the images I make of myself, I would be happy to get it 'out there'.. I don't think my stuff are good enough or that I am consistent enough for me to be 'spotted' like an artist or anything like that, but if an image once in a while would be interesting for others, I would be very proud :)

Also - I need to find the money for my A3 photo printer, delicious print paper and a paper cutter ;)
I just been cruising with my girlfriend, we went to a couple of print labs, but most places I didn't find the quality good enough (for selling to my clients). But last place were pretty amazing! And from size A3 I found the prices reasonable but smaller sizes are VERY expensive. So I am back to dreaming a little about doing the printing myself, up to size A3.

Do you know i always think of you as the master of black :D you can include so much of it and still end up with a great picture

Oh. That touched me deeply. Thank you so much, for those kind words. I do not think so at all, but guess no one of us will ever do that :)

30 percent is not bad for an image you are not attached too. I know very little about the licensing myself. Either way you should feel honored that they asked you. You have some great work and you are great photographer.

A3 printer would be nice, but I have something else in mind for my next purchase and its going to drive me crazy till I get it. 70-200 2.8, so I settled more on a business printer because I had to have one but it does a pretty good job printing pictures. Its and HP all-in-one and it will get me by for a little while.

I remember that image, that was a really cool and great image.

I'm just thinking, as long as I can stop the agreement (1 month written notice), I shouldn't have anything to loose..

Hmm yeah, maybe A4 would be enough. I just wanted to be very consistent in the quality and printing paper, and then say, above size A3 you can only have canvas, framed images or maybe foam/plexiglas (one of the places I saw they printed a photo on the back of a see through plexiglass, actually looked really cool and this wont bend, as the foam can actually do, after a while).

Of course, if anyone wanted A2 in photo paper, that could be arranged.

Thats the best sounding part of this deal is being able to get out when you want.

I like this shot. What the heck is that place??

Dong is the biggest energy provider in Denmark (Danish Oil and Natur Gas).

Its the big deal in DK right now. Very complicated... 10 years ago, they wanted to get DONG on the stock market, this ended up getting stopped by the government. DONG came out of 2012 with something like minus 8-9 million kroners, so the stock market was up for debate again. Now Goldman Sachs (american investment bank) want to buy shares but so many, that they could have crucial influence of this danish government owned business (they own something like 80% of the company), which well, could mean trouble some day..

Now this has caused a serious drama in our government and I really don't quite know how to explain it! Maybe @nidding can give you the finer details.. There are demonstrations from people living in DK, to make them stop the sale to Goldman Sachs, and also several of the parties in the government are really against this.

Hehe. Is there some comment on the political situation in Denmark today, hidden in this picture? ;)

Haha, not gonna post it on Facebook, thats for sure!

Man this lady can take good photos!!
This shot just appeals to me.

Its actually a very nice building. Its so.. Copenhagen. At least the area I live in, in Copenhagen. It kind of feels like I'm "home" when looking at it, because I've seen it so many times. It helped me to a few times too, when I was getting lost in this big nature area with my dogs ;)

The smoke coming from it, are of course not specifically nice..

Congratulations on getting your photos chosen.

Ah, now I got the catch - if I license it exclusively with them (meaning, only place to sell it, I can still use and display it), thats when they set the really high prices. If its not exclusive, she wrote an amount around $250 --- which I still think is a huge price. I don't think its an $250 picture ;)

Day 31 - from one end of photography to the other. That was cold! My feet almost fell of.

Earlier today, I was going through some of my old images, found loads which I never got processed - this one is taken with my previous camera, Canon 40D.

Sweden, february 2013. Such a beautiful place

Fantastic shots Mai, I really like the first one. These floating shots are really cool and the processing you did is really great. You have to be a little bit crazy to be bare foot in the snow, but we do things to get the shot right. Maybe we are all a little crazy, in the good sense that is.
