Day 26, feathers - inspired by Deezey. That was pretty fun doing! I used the 105, some with my camera set for DX, I used flash and for some, I practiced my manual focus.

My husband are finally home again. He brought pizza, lol.


Particular happy about the first one.

Ahh.. today is a tiny bit dull ;)
Just testing manual focus with the 105mm. And a few testshots outside, we got a little snow, I am crossing my fingers its still there tomorrow. Didn't come home until it was starting to get to dark, today.

What a grrrr photo day!! Nothing came out right. I was outside, in the snow, in a dress without sleeves. NONE came out right. I blame the ND8 filter.. of course its not because I set the shutter way to slow.
Afterwards I tried another image inside, a very specific image. Nothing again. Soooo annoyed right now :chargrined:

Day 28. The day I just wanted to work in a pizzeria instead of photographing.

Anyhow, here is a funny moment - the dogs are both VERY afraid of risking waking the other one. This brings quite a lot of laughs during the evening.. they can get pretty creative, when trying to sneak by each other. But here, the youngest one seriously didn't know what to do, lol. I think he had been standing like that for several minutes, and he didn't move at all while I took the pic. I came to his rescue after this shot ;)

Love, its like the one looking through the door trying to get the one laying down to come out and play. Great shot.

I'm not particularly a lover of dogs, but the Samoyed is one I can love. The way animals can make us laugh is tremendous.

Older one were making sure I wasn't doing anything with food in the kitchen lol.. he looked so cute, I had to get a shot. And well, then I had to get a few more.. Guess today wasn't a total waste after all.

Day 29. I'm just having some off days, so nothing fancy.
I don't feel I have 5-6 images to display next week (common exhibition) but I don't think I'll be able to create something extra ordinary the next few days. Have no idea how it should be presented. Thinking of gluing matte photo paper on to black cardboard.

The first 2 are with iso 2500, not much noise. But the last was iso 6400 and I did noise reduction. That image was also a bit overexposed, that always makes the noise more visible.


Well, just as I was going to bed yesterday, 500px send me a mail:

500px is preparing to launch a Commercial Licensing Marketplace that will allow people from around the world to license 500px photos to use in their projects.
We are currently gathering content for our launch in early 2014, and this is why we reached out to you. You have beautiful photos that were reviewed very positively on 500px, and with your permission, we would like to include it in our initial product release.

(They only chose 1 of my images). Anyhow, they want to get the license to distribute/let others license one of my images, I get 30% for every sale. For not doing anything. Have no idea IF the image would sell, of course.
I've been reading a little in the contracts they send, and I can stop the contract if I wish, so I just send them the question, if I can still sell and display the image outside of 500px, if yes, I will definitely try this out.

Do you know i always think of you as the master of black :D you can include so much of it and still end up with a great picture

which image Mai, sounds interesting but read the fine print several times. You might post details of this in a separate thread and see what others think.
