Did you print this using a home printer? One day I might get some velvet fine art paper and give it a try especially after seeing your print! ;)

Epson Velvet Fine Art Paper S041636 B&H Photo Video

Not to derail Mai's thread, but I just printed a bunch of stuff for a gallery on that. I went back and forth between that and the Ultra Smooth Fine Art paper (highly recommended my my brother and all he uses) and decided on this for the gallery stuff. It's nice paper, but know that your printer need to have a manual feed slot for you to be able to use it as it will not feed from a paper drawer (I have an Epson R2000). The work I'm printing is more of the landscape and nature variety, so it works well. I don't know if it would work for everything. I'll try and post some examples in another thread.

I don't mind derailing. Will be cool to see your prints.

Not long ago I tried some semi-gloss paper but have no idea what it should be good for - I tried an outdoor color portrait and also a b/w picture, but didn't really fit any of them. Guess I should stick for matte and glossy, nothing in between..

Okay the dog pic I posted from yesterday have a weird color, not sure what it is but anyhow, was looking through for better ones and just wanted to show these 3 :)

Nice looking prints Mai. What model and make of printer are you using and what size? I still think you would do well with the Ilford gold Fibre or pearl. Congrats on the ride, the puppies work hard posing for you and deserve a day at the beach.

I don't remember the model but its an industrial machine and it prints on roles of paper/fabric/whatever. So no Ilford/Pearl etc names..

Day 149, May 30.

A shoot with dog training images - and got this candid one as well  Afterwards home to edit most of the family shoot from day before, as they needed them quickly.

Weird, previous upload looks much darker here than my file on my computer?

Anyhow, day 150, May 31.

A baptism - jezz, I've done a lot of driving the last week. This was 1,5 hour away. Also when doing a few portraits after the church ceremony, the god father disappeared (went for the place of the party) and we couldn't get a hold of him (he was needed for some pictures too) - so I drove after them to make the last pictures where they held the party.

Anyhow. Baby cried so much, everybody ended up laughing a little bit (it was angry/annoyed crying)..

Yesterday 7 hours in the sun + 1,5 hours drive, did portraits for a charity, 50% split for the income. I haven't even loaded the images into LR yet because I am TIRED now and have so many images I need to process.. On top of all these shoots, I had clients booking appointments and other clients ordering prints (which I manually order), wow, how on earth do a pro photographer do all this all the time :concern:

Day 152, June 1.
I'll show some images in a different thread when I get them processed, this is bad mobile shot of the camera screen (the charity thing), should I consider a different approach to the dogs??

Day 153, June 2.
Have to show this from today in school - we had to pick 2 colors from a Pantone catalogue and afterwards mix the color (no help, just try and error) from cyan, magenta and yellow!!

Yes I know, I don't draw well, and this is even with a stencil I cut out lol ;)

Another mobile shot as I've been doing my accountants all day (after school).

Taking a break with someone who very recently had baths... Not that it shows so much now lol
