I love your wide angle shots! You really know how to utilize the wide end of your lens! ;)

Right, quick update!

I haven't stopped shooting, but a death in the family is causing me to have to travel to Minnesota for a funeral, so I'm saving my editing for the flights. I'm also bringing gear with to fill the free time. I'll also respond to everyone's awesome comments later.

Sorry to hear about that, hope you have a good trip otherwise.....

B&W fire escape shot is great. Nice contrast and full range of tones, plus perfect composition.

Thanks man! I am especially fond of that shot. Everything worked in my favor on that one. Who knew something covered in bird poop would be so photogenic?

Love the urban shots....I like taking pictures of downtown too!

Thanks! It's always interesting to me to go walkabout in the city. You always find something new.

Alright, back to the grind!

May 9

This was a busy day, so I only managed to get one shot while I was downtown.

Saturday was the annual Montana Women's Run. My fiancee and niece were in the event, so I used it as a good excuse to do some street shooting.

Today was one hell of a travel day, although I did discover something. Busy airports are a great place for street style candid photography.

When we finally reached our destination, I got a chance to try out my ND filter for some long exposures. It's kind of a cheap filter, and I don't really like what it does to the colors that much, but I do get some good results with black and whites.

The obligatory "dock going into the water" shot!

Don't worry folks, I'm still around! I have a ton of shots to sort through from my trip up into the mountains this weekend!

I didn't know you could shoot in an air port! This opens up a whole new area of photography for me when I travel! Great candid shots BTW.

Thanks! I showed up at the airport and the whole thing felt like a street photography situation for me. Worked out pretty well I think.

Did you use any special PP on the mossy bench shots? Looks really cool.

Thanks! Nothing super special, just basic adjustments in LR5. I did apply moderate split toning to them, as well as a film effect on that last one.

Alright, playing catch-up! After my trip to Minnesota, the fiancee, a buddy, and I headed up to NW Montana (Seeley Lake, to be exact) to have a few days of exploring to kick off the summer. It's such a beautiful area, and mom and dad's house is a great base camp.

Did a lot of exploring, but not much photographing. Got this one shot that I absolutely adore.

Went on a hike at the place we plan to get married. TONS of great views there, and the waterfall is incredible.

After hiking at Holland Lake, we went out for a little more exploring. I took the opportunity to get some shots of Beret's Subaru doing what it does best. :)

Afterwards, we had a great dinner at the local steakhouse. We walked out onto the dock there and I got this.
