I had no idea crows were carnivorous but sadly found out when they raided birds' nests nearby. I found a couple of newborn baby birds in my yard – both having been killed. One was left in the bird bath.A Crow took this crawdad away from a gull who had stolen it from a Merganser who caught it in the first place. Thievery is very common in the bird world.

Thanks, Robin. No TC, but a lot of time standing or sitting quietly. The ducks move away when I arrive, but slowly get used to me.
