12-18 inches of snow yesterday and the day before. It's melting quickly today. I was glad to see that these two made it through the bitter cold. Many birds have recently laid eggs, and I'm sure most have frozen because of the severity of this storm. Tough Spring in Colorado this year.
About 40 yards from a Great Horned Owl nest, the female is NOT happy with a Cooper's Hawk being so close. The Copper's Hawk was chirping like crazy, and then left the area with the Mom in pursuit to make sure it was a full retreat.
