Sigma 35mm F1.4 Art

Only picked up the D750 and the 35mm yesterday :) First camera purchase ever. Busting to try it out as we just moved to a forest.

I wanted a lens on the D750 for 'pick up and go', not too heavy and with VR as I've spoiled a couple of shots with camera shake using the prime 50mm (should've used the tripod!). Now got a Nikkor 24-85mm F3.5-4.5G ED VR which is nice to carry about. I have the 24-120 F4 but it's a handful for walkabout and the larger filters cost more.

These full frame DSLRs need careful handling below 1/50th and VR helps a lot.

Hi there,

just have a technical question about Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD. I got the same lens couple months ago with slightly wobbling zoom barrel in vertical plane (horizontal is fine) which creates rattle when the lens is shaken. This is felt and visible most when the zoom barrel is a half-way out around 50mm focal length. Never noticed this mechanical imperfection affects final image optically though. Did you noticed anything like this on your Tamron?

I have a super secret lens on it at the moment. I can program this lens to get up at 5 am, drive up to the mountains and take some sunrise shots all by itself. I don't even have to get out of bed!

Here's the list of my lenses in the order of least used:
1. Tamron 90mm f/2.8 macro
2. Nikon 50mm f/1.8G
3. Nikon 16-35mm f/4 VR
4. Nikon 70-200mm f/4 VR
5. Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 VR
Lens #5 is on my D750 most of the time, and for that reason I'm thinking of selling #1 and #3 and buying 2 primes: 20mm and 35mm!
