The D7100 is a different animal all together. Not everyone can just pick it up and use it right of way. I'm sure if I used your D800E I would miss my D750.:indecisiveness:

There is a newer lens out that supercedes the tokina 11-16mm, but as is the case with most of my stuff, I got a deal on it. :)
I like the lens, is seems sharp. Be aware that if you shoot this one toward the sun, there is flare. I don't think that's tokina's
strong suite.

It's got pretty noticable barrel distortion at 11mm, so that's why I am learing the post processing.
Also, I am pretty much an ametuer/hobbiest.

Are you talking about the 11-20? I looked at it but the thread size is 82mm...pretty much a deal breaker since all my filters are 77mm...

Yeah, the 11-20 was designed as a replacement for the 11-16, so there may be some good deals on the 11-16.
It was $524 forever at adorama, but some nice discounts happened prior to Christmas.

The Nikon AF55 f2.8 macro is on at the moment, I am favouring it over the Nikon 105 which sits in the drawer gathering dust mostly.
