Sigma Art 30mm f1.4 DC - a little wider and MUCH better built - faster too - than the brief dalliance I had with the not very nice, horribly plastic but very cheap but entirely very good to excellent image quality of the Nikkor DX 35mm f1.8. This Sigma is currently by far is the cheapest way to get into the world of Art series - I've not owned or tried the legendary FX 35mm f1.4 Art and the DX 30mm does not share the respect and esteem as its bigger and much more expensive FX cousin but I find image quality from f1.6 - f2 (and smaller) for handheld cityscapes at night superb, with an excellent biting contrast that my old Nikkor 50mm f1.4 D really lacks.
