Really thinking about a 20/2.8D instead of anything else in the wide range to do my event stuff with. Fit everything, crop if needed, light and can't think of anything else w/ AF in this price range besides Tokinas.

I have the 20mm/2.8D. Thought I would buy the 1.8G to 'upgrade' but its on backorder in Canada and has been for the past several months so I will just keep using the 20mm/2.8D as there is nothing really wrong with it but I wanted the extra stop for my aurora photography.

I am missing a Wide angle zoom for FX so will get an 18-35mm AF-S G.
Besides that more books and education....

Someone stop me if I'm crazy: I'm thinking about having the AA/OLPF removed from my D750 by the experts at LifePixel.

Daniel and I have been talking about it, and they're now confident they can perform the operation successfully...

After seeing the results you guys are getting with the Tamron 150-600 that just HAS to be my next purchase. Now I just have to save a little, well actually, A LOT!!!

I was a Canon user with 350D (yes, 8 years old camera) with 70-200 f/2.8, 17-50 f/2.8 and 105mm f/2.8 macro.
Recently I lost all my gear in Mumbai, India when it was stolen from the car. :(

Some of my shots are here https://www.flickr.com/photos/digitalbuggu

I already purchased a Sony alpha 6000 with kit lens and loving its features. It is now my daily use camera.
Since I have to start again collecting all my gear, I am thinking Nikon this time. A full frame maybe.

Any suggestions or recommendations? (I hope you looked at my photographs)
Thank you.

I'm kinda in the same boat....I've currently got a d7000, but would like to upgrade but can't decide if I want to go FX or not. I would like to be able to eventually shoot some real estate (so I'll need either FX or wide angle lens). Would also like to get a 70-200 2.8 (not sure on brand) for portrait shoots etc.

My suggestion would be to either ask Jake or Nikon. If I remember correctly, Jake was thinking about that for his D600 (I think it was that body), and I think he was given some info on how it would affect the outcome. Can't remember what though, but I don't think he went through with it.
