0820am, at work, worrying about the snowstorm coming, can my wife make it to work safely tonight if they do not call off the shift. Can I make it back to work tomorrow morning? All questions remaining to be answered.

04.54 on a looooonng night shift, eyes getting heavy and reading the forum is not helping. Hopefully in bed in 2 hours unless it's a nice sunrise then it's out with the camera :cool:

1600 hours here in Delhi. Had a sumptuous lunch and now surfing the net.

Before that got a load of purple carrots from the market and initiated the process for making "Kanji" a fermented carrot drink. The main ingredients are purple carrots, lots of freshly ground mustard, rock salt and water. Made 10 liters in 5 jars and put it in the sun. Will be ready in a week, just in time for the "Holi" festival.

Notice that the water is pale pink in colour. Within a couple of days it will turn deep purple and start fermenting. By Sunday it should be ready, though a week would ferment it fully.
