Captain's log 2131. Row with wife. Check. Row with children. Check. Row with wife about children. Check. Row with children about wife. Check. Photography featured in the first. Things will be better after a good night's rest (wife's mother is slowly on her way to the great developing room in the sky and it is really draining my wife).

Sorry to hear that Jonathan. I've been through all you mentioned. Things do look up though. After almost thirty years of marriage I can honestly say that. Well, except the kids thing. They can be thirty and still get your wife's back hair up enough to start a fight. Isn't marriage grand?

Same here. For once; in nearly 38 years of married life; the daily horoscope was spot on - do not fight with your wife! So when she was working up to start it, I mensioned the day's prediction. That stopped her right in her tracks and we both had a good laugh over it.

1600. Hard at work. Just gave leaving presentation for someone, um, leaving. Which is kind of ironic seeing as I resigned this morning!

Going round and round and round internet reviews and write ups trying to decide between the Nikon or Tamron 24-70 f2.8 (cost v quality) or do I really want that focal length on DX and should I get the 17-55 f2.8. AAAAAAAAHHH going mad, round in circles, losing the will to live!

Go the tamron. If u never had the quality u won't miss it. And it's a bit lighter. I am happy with mine.
But I am going in circles like u trying to pick out a camera for the wife. Think we have narrowed it down to a Leica V-Lux4 for now.

Drinking my triple espresso, trying to decide where to take my new 80-400VR. I wish we had some mountains around here. Or a ghost town. Or a waterfall. Or a racetrack. Or some historical architecture..... starting to get the picture?

But Chicago? I'm sure that the Windy City has far more to offer than South Florida, or even Cleveland for that matter. And I can't wait to get to Cleveland in 9 days!
