I am getting very sporadic results with the d500/tam. There is a definite discrepancy between the focus point I use and the focus point indicted in the image review -- the latter always one square below where I was pointing. The auto focus, which was astoundingly fast, is now only slightly better than my 5300 and certainly doesn't hold like it used to. I have a call in to Nikon and sent them images to see if I am nuts or what. If what, back it goes to the dreaded SquareTrade. . . .

Is it just with the Tamron?

I just did a trial with all my other lenses; there was a very slight focus point/focus point difference with my Tam 90, but none on any other. It appears that this is, once again, a 150-600 auto focus failure. Time for a phone call.

Crap.

Man, that sucks! I'm having focus issues with my D500, but just with one specific (10 year old) lens.

On the phone to Tamron at first light. Back goes the lens tomorrow. I am hoping that they will let me do a swap plus cash for the new version. In the mean time I took a large pile of pictures this morning, but only managed a handful in focus.
