Ran into one of our campus security folk this morning and she told me she'd just seen a 'big old bird' in one of the department silk floss trees.

I spotted her

and she spotted me

She's made up a handsome nest, so we have the promise of babes to come. I'm hoping I can get a better angle through the branches when I can get into the department proper.

The department shares a fence with the high school ag feed lots. If you can keep from getting run over by skateboarding students, it's a nice place to shoot seed feeders
