Went outside just now and heard something squawking madly on the other side of the building. I grabbed my camera and found a handsome Cooper's hawk belting out his message from the top of a power pole. I only got a few shots in before my battery died; while I swapped it out, he flew off.

That had to have been great to hear. I've seen the cooper hawk before. But never heard them. This guy had a story to tell from the look of your picture!

I think he was looking for love and wanted everyone to know it. Spring is no season for subtlety, even if you are a month or two early.
