@wev, excellent memory! I have heard some keep journals. :) The hummingbird got stuck in my dads screen on the front porch. I had to pull him or her out. I have been crapped on by a bird lol but can't say had one actually land on me.

At the hort department where I occasionally work, we have several large test beds for going seed plants and trial vegetables. Each is fully enclosed in fine bird netting and snow fencing to keep the varmints and birds out. The hummers, however, have no trouble zipping right in and enjoying a nectar lunch. Unfortunately, they are very bad at zipping back out and I have become quite adept at disentangling them from the netting. They never say thank you.

Hope all your feathered buddies baked you a cake. I shall stop at our award winning cupcake shop and have one in your honor. How many candles do I have to crowd onto it?

Enough to require a fire permit.

I'm not real big on sweets, so plan to have several glasses of Russian River Consecration instead.

Cheers

Well, I didn't find any cake, but there were birds in abundance

My friend hates woodpeckers. They drill holes in the cedar siding of her house, but I love the sound them in the woods.
