That is helpful and generous.
I am also visual and hands-on. I am a semi-geek. I am not smart enough to be a full fledged geek, but I have some limited technical experience with lots of problem solving. This just means I am not afraid to mess with stuff. It doesn't mean I won't screw something up messing with it.
I recently played with the AF-fine tuning menu just to see how it works. I set it back when I was done playing with it. Hands-on. I can't help it. :)

You are lucky to have the backbone to try things by yourself, I tend to wait till someone shows me. It's good that we have friends on Nikonites to help us when we need geeky help. :)

Pretty nice Wendy but i think I would move the watermark to the lower left hand corner on the last 3shots. Are you going to help George decorate the tree?
I agree with you Ron, and normally I do put the watermark in the corners. However, my children told me that my watermarks were obnoxious and that I needed to do them differently. So I have been trying to be creative with them.

Kids say the darnedest things. I think you know best where to put them. I have cut the opacity of mine to 50% so they are not so obvious. I also would have liked to see those last yellow flowers with a white or ivory frame. I think they would jump out better if you did that.

Yep, I agree with you again Ron. As I have been trying to b creative with the watermark, I find that none of them look good and that I don't like them. I'm just going to have to go back to where I was placing them. That's a great suggestion too, I will reduce the opacity and see how that looks. It is so nice to get feedback, Thank you so much. :)

Sometime Wendy, there does not seem to be an appropriate place on the photo to place the watermark, in which case, I just sign my mat. I am wondering if there is a program out there that would place a mat over the photo so that we could better visualize how a mat would look with any given photo. You would think that one of the mat companies like Crescent might have something. I am going to check. What program do you use to simulate your frames?

All of my printed photos that have not yet been framed are kept in a secure vault. I only mat a photo when I frame the photo and I treat each photo as an original. When someone buys the photo they are also buying all rights to it. It is then up to them to guard it from theft. I never print one of my photos twice.
