Wendy's 2014 Project 365

I am still a beginner, and am still learning new things everyday. Picasa seems to be at my level at this time. In time I will get a higher level editing program. I do have Photoshop Elements and Perfect Effects, but I am not comfortable with them yet.

It's all part of the journey Wendy. I have PS, and have had it for a while, but didn't use it for some time because it was too daunting. I am still learning something new every day with it. This week I bought a book all about RAW files and using Adobe RAW to process files. So much to learn & remember. We'll get there ;)

Wendy and I were talking yesterday about how far her photography has come to which she said she owes it all to doing a 365 and that she stayed committed to it. While being a pain in the rear at times, the 365 is the fastest way to improve your ability with no real additional cash output.

Ron, That is how I feel and maybe why I am drawn to Picasa. I know that as I learn more that is possible in editing, I will certainly move up to the "Big Boy Editing Programs".

Thanks for the encouragement Vixen. Yep, we will get there some day, and for now I am enjoying the journey. :)

It is so true MM, I can even see how far I have come in these 100 days. I really appreciate the help that I have been given to show me how to improve. This is a hobby that can be good for the soul as well as the body. I find myself out there hiking and walking much more that I would have without the necessity of getting that "Picture for the Day". And I am enjoying the journey!!! Thanks

Don,t be too quick to change over. I would probably still be using Picasa if my IMac played well with others. Could not get it to work well on the Mac. It has probably been improved since I last used it. And after all, you ain't ever going to be be a "big Boy". The key is to sharpening your shooting skill. Everything else will follow.

Day 100/365 I finally got the secret of how MM gets the great shots. The wildlife pose for him. This goose is striking a pose and there is a queue waiting to pose for him. :)

Ron, I agree, working on my shooting skills is what I have been doing lately. It is really a process to understand and get better. But I have had some wonderful mentor's on Nikonite's to help me.
And... Yep, the duck is out of the bag. Sorry, MM.

Since we're letting ducks... or butterfly's out of the bag, here is Wendy's little butterfly secret. She raises them herself so they see her as mom so she can pose them. HA! Now whose secret is out?!
