Bee with pollin on his legs.jpg
This little guy has a clump of pollin on his leg. And the flowers are really nice.

I think this is the best shot. The little bee has a huge clump of pollin on him and you can see his eye really well. I am thrilled that his wings are shining in the sun.

Great series. We may see a blossom someday

Thanks Ron, I was surprised that my apricot tree was blooming today. It was snowing, hailing, lightening, and thundering yesterday. It is nice to see real signs of spring. I hope you do get some spring some day soon too.

Thanks. The next sign of spring here will be daffodils and forsythias. Can hardly wait. Need blue skies for a cityscape next week. So all those bees that disappeared must have come to your house. The mystery is solved..

They must have come to my house, because there are LOTS of them. I was afraid that I may get stung because I got pretty close tho them. But I am unscathed. I will have to go looking for daffodils. My first shot with my camera last year was one of a tiny daffodil. I have come a long way in my photography since then.

Well then, you should take the best shot you can of a daffodil and post it for us. Use everything you have learned in the last year to make it a stunner. As an aside, did you know that there are pink daffodils? I found that out just today.

Ron, that's a great idea. I am going to do that, I will even look for a pink daffodil. I didn't have my macro lens last year, that should ale a big difference.

Day 87/365 Bee on Apricot Tree Blossom.
I got home from work and thought about what I was going to take a photo of today. In my back yard I have an Apricot Tree that is blossoming. It is so pretty. So that was my goal for the day. However, when I got close to the tree I could hear some intense buzzing. There were zillions of bees in the blossoms. How awesome it was, there are beautiful blossoms and lots of opportunities to shoot the bees. Getting macro shots of bugs is one of my goals, so here is a great one of a bee. If you look close, you can see his eye and the veins in his wings. I'm sure I'll get better as the summer goes on. I am excited for my first bee shot though.
Great shot. Bees are hard and you made it look easy. ;)

If you are eating dinner, please don't follow this part of my thread. You may never want to look at this story.

It's Friday Night, and we are hungry, with little food in the house because tomorrow is shopping day. So we open a can of soup.

Looks like some bonus protein! Maybe a mouse? I believe they are allowed so many mice and other tasty critters per however much is made. Quotas ya know. Its all about the quotas.

I use to know a few people who worked at their factory here in Ohio. So while I was joking....at the same time I wasn't. This is why I make my own soups now. Essence of field mouse is not a flavor I dig.
